Journeys toward lives free from harmful sexual behaviour
Family

WE WORK WITH YOUR FAMILY & WHANAU TO ENSURE YOU GET TREATMENT THAT BEST FITS YOUR NEEDS

During the assessment process we will work with your family member to assess whether SAFE can provide them with the help they need.

In the assessment they will be asked about:

  • Their background - cultural, social and family history up until the present day
  • Their behaviour
  • Their lifestyle
  • Their strengths and your resources (supports)

We will also gather information and reports from other agencies or professionals who are involved in helping your family and whanau. This information helps us to determine if and how we can help to stop the impact of the sexually problematic (in the case of children) or sexually harmful behaivours and their impact on all of you.

The assessment also enables us to ensure that if your family member is accepted into the service they are referred to the service pathway that best meets their needs.

TREATMENT PATHWAYS INCLUDE:

Te Kakano - Maori Pathway

Amanaki - Pasifika Pathway

Internet (cyber offending) Pathway

ID (Intellectual Disability) Pathway

Sapphire Pathway (girls)
